PML offers Owner’s Representative
services to towns and school boards around Northern New
England. The 900 student elementary school at Falmouth,
Maine is the latest addition to the Falmouth School
District Woodville Road campus.
Oak Point
Associates (OPA) designed this state-of-the-art school
for the Falmouth School District (FSD). It was built by Harvey Construction Company (HCC). The
project went very smoothly, completed on schedule and
opened for the 2011-2012 school year. This allowed
Falmouth to consolidate their student population at the
main campus with this K-5 facility, replacing two other
school buildings in the town. The team of FSD, OPA, HCC and
PML proved to be a great and cooperative team, coupled
with the oversight of Maine's Bureau of General Services
representative Goff French and Joe Ostwald. PML worked
closely with FSD's Business Manager Dan O'Shea, and Facilities
Director, Topper West, who were critical to the
success of the projects as well. |

A budget of $43,000,000 +/-
comprised not only the K-5 facility but also a
new wood boiler and building. New
athletic fields were built as well to replace the existing
fields that habited the real estate needed for
the new 900 student elementary school. The
project took approximately 2˝ years for
construction of all facets of the fields,
boiler, street reconstruction and K-5 building. |
